Tai et al. (1989) 依據父、母變方成分估算法,分析選育品系第一代之初產日齡、40週齡體重、40週齡及52週齡產蛋數、40週齡蛋重的遺傳率(h2s+d)分別為0.21、0.47、0.15、0.20及0.21 (表4),並據以建立I=0.099*EW40(g)-0.277*BW(100g)+0.026*NEGG52(eggs)之選拔指數(戴等,1994)。李等(1992)針對本選育族群第一代至第四代進行產蛋性能探討,由父、母變方成分估測初產日齡、40週齡體重、52週齡產蛋數、40週齡蛋重的遺傳率分別為0.17與0.34;0.51與0.44;0.13與0.28;0.25與0.16(表9)。李等(1993)亦計算25、35、45、55週齡產蛋間距之遺傳率分別為0.03、0.16、0.04、0.11(表5),各週齡產蛋間距與初產至60週齡產蛋率之遺傳相關分別為-0.71、0.69、-0.74、-0.55(表6),屬低遺傳率,因此藉由產蛋間距之選拔來改進其產蛋性能效果有限。
Cheng et al. (1995) 進一步採動物模式分析選育品系第一代至第五代相關測定性狀之結果:選拔品系之初產日齡、40週齡蛋重、40週齡體重、52週齡產蛋數、30週齡蛋殼強度及40週齡蛋殼強度的遺傳率分別為h2=0.201、h2=0.329、h2=0.499、h2=0.118、h2=0.107及h2=0.094 (表7及表8),此等結果顯示產蛋性狀多屬中、低等之遺傳率。選拔性狀遺傳相關分析之結果顯示,40週齡蛋重與40週齡體重、30週齡蛋殼強度、40週齡蛋殼強度之遺傳相關分別為為0.617、0.583、0.483,屬中等程度遺傳正相關;40週齡蛋殼強度與40週齡蛋重及40週齡體重則為0.231與0.483;而52週齡產蛋數與40週齡蛋重、40週齡體重、30週齡蛋殼強度、40週齡蛋殼強度之遺傳相關分別為-0.323、0.006、-0.194、-0.230,皆屬低等程度(或負)相關(表7)。
